Step 1 — Export your data from LastPass
- Log in to LastPass Web Vault at: https://lastpass.com/?ac=1&lpnorefresh=1
- In the left sidebar, click Advanced Options → Export.
- Choose LastPass CSV File.
- LastPass will download a file named something like lastpass_export.csv.
- If prompted for your master password, enter it.
- Store this file somewhere secure temporarily. (You’ll delete it after importing.)
Step 2 — Import your data into 1Password
- Log in to your 1Password account at https://my.1password.com.
- Go to the vault where you want the items imported.
- Click your account name → Import.
- From the list of import options, choose LastPass.
- Upload the lastpass_export.csv file.
- 1Password will show a preview of the items it will import. Review for accuracy.
- Confirm the import.
Step 3 — Clean up & verify
After import:
✔️ Verify items
- Check your logins, secure notes, and any custom fields.
- Some items may come in duplicated or grouped differently—1Password allows easy re-organizing.
?️ Delete the CSV
Your exported CSV file is unencrypted, so delete it securely:
- Empty your recycle bin/trash after deleting.
- If stored in cloud folders, remove it there too.
? Optional: Delete account from LastPass
If you are fully migrated:
- Log in to your LastPass Vault.
- Go to Account Settings → Account Information.
- Scroll down and click Delete Account.
